The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI fell 101.56 points, or 0.56 percent, to 18,014.28, the S&P 500 .SPX lost 11.48 points, or 0.54 percent, to 2,109.76 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC dropped 15.95 points, or 0.31 percent, to 5,117.00.
